Transitioning into University is a big change and it can take time for you to really feel settled into your new life. We want to reassure you that this is normal.
The pattern of the feelings when going through a major life change is actually quite predictable. This pattern of feelings can range from enthusiasm and excitement to homesickness or lack of confidence in your ability. By the time your first year has come to an end misgivings seem like a distant memory and you may even refer to University as “home” if you've moved away, such is the extent of the integration into your community and environment.
