4.

Employment - If you are working part-time, make sure that your hours of work fit around your studies. Talk to your employer about minimising your hours or negotiate with them to limit any changes during the year. The Save the Student website has some great tips on How to balance a job and study at university.

5.

Use your support network and allow time off to socialise - make sure you have allowed enough time in your planner.

6.

Don’t compare yourself to any other student – everyone has skills and qualities that they develop in different ways.

Your working style may differ from other students – think about your best time to work, find a place that fits your study method and go for it.

9.

Allow yourself time to consider ‘what’s next’.

You may have your chosen career path already lined up or you may not have a clue! Either way the Careers Service can help you look for your career, further study, jobs, or voluntary or paid work abroad.

What if it's not going well?

If you are struggling or overwhelmed, support is available. Don’t be afraid to ask.
